DMY Starts Work On Warrenton Interchange

DMY recently started work at VDOT’s Route 15/17/29 Warrenton Interchange design-build project in Fauquier County. DMY is providing geotechnical field exploration, lab testing, geotechnical analysis and design, and construction support for the Shirley/Dewberry team. The project will replace the existing at-grade intersection of Route 15/17/29, Route 15/17/29 Business and Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) with a grade-separated interchange to improve safety and capacity. DMY Helps The DC Streetcar Get Moving!

Saturday, February 27, 2016 was a day of celebration in the District of Columbia as the long-awaited DC Streetcar began passenger service, and DMY helped make it happen. The DC Streetcar runs along H Street, NE, travels behind historic Union Station and continues to Benning Road at Oklahoma Avenue, NE. The design-build project included the construction of the western and eastern termini of the route, the overhead catenary that delivers power to the streetcars and the car barn at Benning Road and 26th Street, NE. The first phase included laying the track, utilities, retaining walls and associated site work and the second phase included the construction of the car barn building and maintenance yard.
DMY provided special inspections and quality control construction materials testing services which included field and laboratory testing for soil and aggregate, concrete and grout sampling and testing, and inspection of the repairs and drilled shafts for pole foundations. DMY also installed and implemented a two-level vibration monitoring program for 11 specified facilities along the project alignment.

DMY CELEBRATES SIX YEARS OF SUCCESS!

On January 11, 2010, DMY Engineering Consultants was born. In just six years DMY grew from an AASHTO certified lab operating out of our founder Wayne Ma’s garage, to a 50-person firm with three offices, nine Professional Engineers and a presence at some of the largest project sites in the Washington metropolitan area. All of this would have been impossible without the hard work and dedication of our staff and the trust of our many clients and partners. We look forward to many more years of success and many more anniversary celebrations!
