PROJECT COMPLETION

2016

DMY provided Special Inspections and Testing services on this project, involving the demolition of the existing Herndon Fire Station building and the construction of a new two-story fire station at the same location with below-grade parking. The project was divided into two phases: Phase I included the construction of a temporary fire station at 791 Elden Street and Phase II involved the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new 14,500 square foot facility.

DMY inspectors inspected the activities during support of excavation, earthwork, and foundation stages, in addition to testing concrete, grout, mortar, and masonry. A Structural Steel inspector performed the visual inspection of welded joints and tested them. DMY was also involved in the rock excavation evaluation for the payment purpose.
